Bal Folk
with
Helen Gentile and Lewis Wood
making their debut for us at Patcham...
supported by Jeudi Matin


One of the four bands from the Bal Massif! collective, 
Helen & Lewis play evocative tunes from the French and Breton balfolk repertoire on clarinet, fiddle & guitar.
Traditional, contemporary and original European folk dance music, the duo leave dancers and listeners spellbound.

Patcham Memorial Hall, north Brighton

We're just off the A23 as you enter Brighton, near the junction with east-west A27.
Old London Rd is at the entrance to Patcham Village, near the Miller & Carter / Harvester pub.
The Hall is about halfway down, between Downsview College (the old school building) and 
the Peace Gardens.
 Public transport: B&H bus 5A stops outside the Hall, the 5 stops at Carden Avenue, the Compass Citybuzz 52 at the Coop just up the road, and Metrobus 271/2/3 & 17 stop on the main road at Patcham Place.
Preston Park railway station (London/Hove/Littlehampton/Bognor line) is 15 mins walk south

* the Co-op shop is just up the road, open til 10pm.

Dansez Français is a non-profit enterprise, run by a collective of well known local musicians and dancers: Barbara and Mel Stevens, Anne Wolpe, Jim Cunningham, Richard Greenwood, Michael Shade, and Jan Mulreany.
